Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. --- Becca Allen netted her first goal of the season Saturday afternoon, as the women's soccer team hosted Lewis & Clark College in a Northwest Conference match-up.
The Pioneers (8-4-2, 6-3-1 NWC) scored twice in the first period to defeat the Bruins (2-8-3, 2-6-1 NWC), 2-1.
All three goals were scored in the opening 25 minutes of the match, as the Pioneers jumped out to quick 2-0 lead. The Pioneers netted one in the 15th minute and another in the 17th minute. The Bruins responded in the 23rd minute when Hannah Harder and Kacie Morgan set up Allen to get on the board.
Harder led the Bruins firing off three shots on the day.
Ally Swanson recorded 11 saves in the net as the Pioneers fired off 21 total shots.
The Bruins will play Sunday, Oct. 19 when they host Willamette at 12:00 p.m. at Austin Sports Complex.
