NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox Bruins hosted Pacific University in a Northwest Conference battle that featured four forced fumbles, a blocked field goal and wind gusts of 28 mph.

The Bruins defense played a great game, as both teams traded the ball back and forth. The Bruins held the ball for 26:50, while the Boxers managed 33:10. The Bruins were unable to turn the game into a victory, ultimately falling to the Boxers 36-0.

Brad Lander led the Bruins hauling in seven receptions totaling 84 yards. John Shaffer tallied three catches for 11 yards and ran 15 times for 47 yards. Grant Schroeder completed 14-of-27 passes for 143 yards.

The Boxers were led by Kamealoha, who recorded 69 yards and had two touchdowns.

This weekend the Bruins had some extra cheering support from parents who came to cheer on the Bruins as part of Family Weekend. George Fox travels to Whitworth next weekend before returning home for their final home game of the season against Lewis and Clark on November 8 at 1:00 p.m.
