Box Score TACOMA, Wash. --- George Fox University's women's volleyball team played visitor to the Loggers of Puget Sound Saturday night, as the Bruins were swept in a 3-set match.
The Loggers (11-12, 10-4 NWC) defeated the Bruins (4-20, 3-11 NWC) 25-18, 25-22 and 25-9.
Despite falling in the first two sets, the Bruins came out swinging and fired off a .276 hitting percentage in the first set, while hitting .286 in the second. In fact, the Bruins out-hit the Loggers in the second set .286 to .200.
GFU managed to record more kills in the second set recording 15 kills on 35 attempts, while the Loggers tallied 12 kills on 35 attempts.
Kylee Adderson led the Bruins with 14 kills on 31 attempts, hitting .226. She was the only player in the match to record double-digit kills.
Payton Shrum led all players with 28 assists.
The Loggers used their serving to their advantage recording 12 serving aces in the match.
George Fox will finish its season off at home when they host Whitworth on Friday, Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m. and Whitman on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 6:00 p.m. Saturday's game against Whitman will be senior night for the Bruins and they will honor Erin Campbell and Kylee Adderson.
