COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- George Fox University's men's basketball team put up a tough fight Sunday afternoon, as the Bruins fell 98-90 to Colorado College.

In the second game of the Colorado College Tournament J.J. Lacey led the Bruins with 23 points on 10-for-18 shooting. He also brought down six boards in his 29 minutes of play.

The host team out-shot the Bruins shooting 55.4 percent from the field, while George Fox shot 47.9 percent.

Both teams traded points back and forth in the first half, as the score was tied seven times and the lead changed hands five times.

In the second half, the Bruins continued to chip away at the score, but wouldn't be able to get close as the score never changed hands in the second half.

Jonny Howard was the second leading scorer for the Bruins with 19 and Thomas Rico scored 15. Rico went 5-for-8 from beyond the arc.

The Bruins forced 17 turnovers and recorded nine steals.

George Fox will come back home and play California Tech on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6:00 p.m. and then Northwest (Wash.) on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
