Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. --- The George Fox University's women's soccer team closed out its season Saturday afternoon as the Bruins played visitor to Whitworth University.
The Bruins (3-14-1, 3-7-1 NWC) fell to the Pirates (8-11-1, 7-9 NWC) in the 86th minute after playing stellar defense all day long.
The opening period started with a heavy handed assault from the Pirates, as they were able to get off 11 shots, but Morgan Hansen played tough recording three saves. The two teams went into the half tied up at 0-0.
The second half produced the same amount of shots for the Pirates with 11. The Bruins recorded seven shots in the game with three on target.
The game was opened up in the 86th minute after Tiara Pajimola found the back of the net for the game-winner.
