NEWBERG, Ore. --- It was an extra special night at George Fox Tuesday, as both Kimberly Frost and Sammy Naluai put up career highs in a 92-52 victory over Northwest Christian University.

The Bruins were recently ranked at No. 16 in the D3hoops.com women's Top 25 and No. 18 in the USA Today's Sports Top 25 Coaches' Poll. The Bruins had five players record double-digit points in tonight's contest.

Sammy Naluai led all scorers on the night with 17 points. She shot lights out going 4-for-5 from the field, 2-for-2 from beyond the arc and 7-for-8 from the charity stripe.  Right behind her was Lauren Codling, who recorded 16 points, 13 rebounds, five steals and four blocks on the night. Both Jami Morris and Kimberly Frost recorded 11 points, while Dacia Heckendorf contributed 10 points. Frost's 11 points was a career high.

"Both Sammy and Kim had fantastic games tonight," said head coach Michael Meek. "They both continue to work hard and really improve and it's nice to see it pay off tonight. I am really proud of this team and how they continue to come out every night and play hard."

The Bruins got off to a hot start in the first half taking a demanding 11-2 lead at the 14:55 mark. George Fox increased its lead to 13 five minutes later Naluai knocked down a pair of free throws. The Bruins went into intermission up, 41-18.

In the second half, the Bruins caught fire shooting 69.2 percent from the field, while hitting 7-of-10 3-pointers. The lead jumped out to a 46-point margin after the Beacons were unable to stop the hot hands of the Bruins.

"I am very encouraged by the fact that we overcame some injuries tonight," said Meek. We had a lot of great contributions from our bench that gave us great minutes."

George Fox finished the game shooting 50 percent from the floor and 74.2 percent from the free throw line.

The Bruins improve to 5-0 on the season.

The Bruins will be on the road the rest of December and will play next at California Lutheran on Friday, December 5th at 6:00 p.m. They will start conference play on January 2nd at Linfield and will host their first home game against Puget Sound on Saturday, January 3rd at 4:00 p.m.
