TACOMA, Wash. --- The Bruins traveled north for a tough Northwest Conference match against undefeated Puget Sound on Saturday and lost, 3-0. Playing at home, the Loggers, who stand in third in the NWC, never let the Bruins settle into the match.

Recap:
Keeper Morgan Bars stood out for the Bruins: kept busy all match, Bars faced eleven shots on goal and made eight confident saves, keeping the Bruins within striking distance for most of the match. Dynamic forward Savannah Moisan did all she could leading the Bruins' line, finding space to fire off three of the Bruins' four shots, two on frame.

The Bruins, forced to defend hard from the opening whistle, faced a fluid Loggers attack that launched nine shots through the game's first twenty minutes. Only superb goalkeeping from Morgan Bars kept the match scoreless, but the Loggers' tenth shot found the back of the net: Amalia Acorda-Fey looped in a cross that Grayson Williams-Krebs put into the low left corner.

Suddenly down a goal, the Bruins looked to break out of their half and build momentum, but were stymied minutes later, when Annie Prickett headed Liz Blonden's cross perfectly into the upper corner to make Puget Sound's lead 2-0.

Bars made another acrobatic save to see the match into the halftime break at 2-0.

In the 47th minute, just after halftime, Acorda-Fey finished an unassisted goal past the helpless Bars to make the score 3-0.

Down 3-0, the Bruins, far from giving up, only got better. Around the 60th minute, Moisan – who'd been working hard all game to offer the Bruins an outlet up field – made a couple of excellent runs that led to three shots in two minutes. The Bruins' Lauren Swinney also had a good look in the 71st minute, but her driven shot sailed over the crossbar.

Also still locked-in, Bars made an excellent save on another shot by Acordia-Fey as the game drew to a close.

What Comes Next:
The loss puts the Bruins at 3-6-2 on the season, 1-5-1 in conference, where the Bruins sit eighth with four points. The Bruins host Linfield on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. as they attempt to kick start a run of good form.
