MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- George Fox University's women's volleyball completed its Northwest Conference weekend road trip down the street on Saturday, as the Bruins fell in a tight match to the 'Cats, 3-2.

Recap:
The opening set went toe-to-toe as each team recorded 12 ties and six lead changes, the most of the night. The Bruins came away with the victory in the first set, and had a chance to close out the match after taking set two, 25-23, but the Wildcats had other things in mind. The 'Cats battled back and took the third and fourth set to even the match up and force a deciding fifth set. The 'Cats jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, but the Bruins responded with an Erin Sprowls kill to bring the set to 4-3. The 'Cats went on a roll scoring 11-straight points to take the set, 15-3, which gave them the victory.

Top Performers:
Cassidy Scott led the Bruins on the night, hitting .450 with 10 kills on 20 attempts and just one attacking error. Sprowls and Delaney Cruz also recorded 10 kills on the night. Payton Shrum continued her stellar senior season adding 33 kills to her record-holding career.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will enjoy home court advantage next Friday, Oct. 16 when the Bruins host Lewis & Clark at 7:00 p.m.
