FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- The George Fox women's soccer team didn't have to travel too far on Wednesday, as the Bruins fell to the Boxers of Pacific (Ore.), 1-0.

Recap:
It was an odd start for the Bruins, as the Boxers were able to control a loose ball in the box and tap it in for the first and only goal of the game at the start of the first period. Exactly :55 seconds ran off the clock for the Boxers when they found the back of the net off of a McKenna Davidson goal. George Fox was able to stop the Boxers' offensive attack for the rest of the first, keeping every shot off frame. In the start of the second period, the Bruins had a couple of close calls, but were unable to sneak one by Kailey Hifumi.

Top Performers:
Michelle Young, who has been superb on the backline all year for the Bruins, led the team on the offensive side of the ball with two shots on the night. Bars played all 90 minutes for the Bruins and recorded one save.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will enjoy a little home field advantage this weekend when they host Whitworth on Oct. 17 at 12 p.m. and Whitman on Oct. 18 at 12 p.m.
