NEWBERG, Ore. --- For the second day in a row, Thomas Rico led the charge for the men's basketball team as they defeated Colorado College, 63-49, in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.

Recap:
The first half was back and forth and the score was tied four different times. The Tigers were the first to get on the board, but that would be the only lead that Colorado College had the entire game. The Bruins went to work from their press as they scored 13 of their 28 points off of turnovers.

George Fox went into the half up by three, 28-25.

The second half got off to a slow start, but the Bruins got their spark at the 10:12 mark when Rico hit his fifth three of the game. Rico's sixth three came almost a minute later and boosted the crowd into a frenzy, as George Fox took a seven point lead, 47-40. The largest lead came two minutes later after JJ Lacey knocked down a three and Johnathan Doutt made nice work in the paint with a finger roll layup. With the lead in double-figures, the Bruins coasted the remainder of the game and grew it to 17 at one point. The bench gave the Bruins a huge push in the second half out-scoring the Tigers' bench, 16-4.

Top Performers:
Rico was stellar for the Bruins as he finished with a career-high 25 points, going 9-13 from the field and 6-8 from the 3-point line. Mason Green-Richards finished just one point shy of his career-high with 12 points, and JJ Lacey added 11. The Bruins out-rebounded the Tigers, 63-49, and forced 13 turnovers in the game.

What It Means:
With the win, the Bruins improve to 2-6 on the season and complete the weekend sweep. The Tigers were handed their fifth loss on the year.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will head down to California next week when they take on California Lutheran on Friday, Dec. 18 at 5:00 p.m.
