Box Score SALEM, Ore. --- Justine Benner tied her career-high of 27 points Tuesday night, as she led the No. 2-ranked Bruins to a 76-55 victory over the Bearcats of Willamette.

Both teams got off to a slow start in the first quarter, but all of that would change once the second quarter got underway. The Bruins went on a 17-7 run from the 4:49 mark to the horn sounded for halftime. Benner sparked the run after making two nice moves in the paint to kick-start the run by the Bruins.
George Fox went into the half up, 35-24, and Benner scored 15 of her 27, going 6-11 from the field.
The Bearcats came out of the break trying to claw back at the Bruins' lead, and managed to out-score the Bruins in the third quarter by one, 20-19, but the Bruins would quiet the home crowd in the fourth. It was Kaitlin Jamieson who gave the Bruins the extra push they needed by scoring 10-straight points from 8:18 to 4:38 to keep the Bruins at an arm's length.
Top Performers:
Benner recorded her third double-double of the season, as she grabbed 12 rebounds to go with her 27 points and added four assists to her performance. Both Jamieson and Anjenae Torregano added 10 points apiece for the Bruins. Jamieson is two blocks away from moving into 13th All-Time in single-season blocks in the George Fox record books with 59.
What It Means:
The top-ranked Bruins improve to 16-0 on the season and 7-0 in the Northwest Conference, while the Bearcats fall to 10-6 overall and 2-5 in the NWC.

The Bruins will come back home and host Linfield in a rivalry game on Friday, Jan. 22 at 6:00 p.m.
