Loggers Down Bruins

TACOMA, Wash. --- The George Fox women's soccer team made the trip up to Washington Saturday afternoon to take on Puget Sound, losing the game 4-0.

Recap:
The Loggers rank second in the Northwest Conference standings and haven't lost a game all year at home. The Loggers were able to score early with a goal in the third minute of action.  

The Bruins held their ground until the 25th minute when the home team earned a free kick. Bruins' goalkeeper Morgan Bars saved the initial shot attempt, but the Loggers managed to tap in the rebound.

The Loggers scored again in the 39th minute, setting the score at 3-0, which would hold until the first 45 ran out and the teams entered the half.

The Bruins played markedly after coming out of halftime as they earned the shot advantage over the opposition, 8-2.

The Loggers were able to score in the 49th minute before taking only one other shot in the duration of the second half.

Overall, the Bruins only narrowly lost the shot advantage 12-11, despite the score. 

Top Performers:
Sophomore forward Savannah Moisan led the Bruins' offense on Saturday with three shots against the opposing keeper, one of which was on goal. Hannah Harder and Kayla Caldeira also chipped in two shots apiece.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins will make the short trip to McMinnville on Sunday to take on the Wildcats of Linfield at noon.
