FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- The George Fox women's volleyball team faced off against the Boxers of Pacific University Saturday night, as the Bruins fell, 3-0.

Recap:
The Boxers beat the Bruins 25-18, 25-20 and 25-18.

The opening set was competitive from the start as both teams traded points. After the sixth tie at 9-9, the Boxers strung together a 7-3 run to take a lead at 16-12. After the four point lead, the Boxers didn't look back taking the first set, 25-18.

Set two was all Boxers from the start, as the opposing team jumped out to a 14-10 lead. That lead expanded to 2-15, but the Bruins wouldn't go down without a fight. George Fox rallied a comeback forcing the score to come within three at 23-20. A service error and a quick kill by the Boxers secured the second set with a 25-20 victory.

With momentum on their side, the Boxers went on another run to start the third and final set, taking an early 10-5 lead. The Bruins closed the gap to two points at 16-14, but the Boxers responded with a 7-3 run. Pacific took the final set 25-18.

Top Performers:
Delaney Cruz led the Bruins with eight kills, hitting .292 on the night. Kelsea Meyers led the defense with 16 kills, while Danyle Dupray recorded six kills and 13 digs.

The Bruins continue their road trip against Willamette on Oct. 28 at 7p.m.
