NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox women's volleyball team hosted the Wildcats of Linfield College Saturday night, as the Bruins fell to the 'Cats, 3-0.

Recap:
The Wildcats blitzed the Bruins in the opening set, hitting .387 as a team. The 'Cats jumped out to a 10-4 lead and never looked back. The Bruins tried to close the gap, but the 'Cats ran away with a 25-9 first set win.

The second set was similar to the first, as the 'Cats went on a big run to go up 15-8. The Bruins strung together three-straight points, but the 'Cats ended up with a 25-14 win.

The Bruins wouldn't go down without a fight in the third, keeping the set close. After trailing 10-8, the 'Cats sparked a run taking an 18-11 lead. The Bruins cut it to 19-16, but the 'Cats were able to sneak away with a 25-18 victory.

Top Performers:
Sarah Davies led the Bruins with eight kills, while Delany Cruz tallied six. Hannah Kumasaka led the Bruins with 16 assists.

What Comes Next:
The Bruins host Whitworth on Oct. 14 at 5:30p.m. and Whitman on Oct. 15 at 1p.m.
