MCMINNVILLE, Ore. ---The George Fox volleyball team wrapped up the 2016 regular season on the road at Linfield, Saturday night, as the Bruins fell in three.

Each team tallied 11 kills in the first set, but it was the Wildcats who were able to pull away late. The Bruins kept it close early in the set thanks to kills from Delaney Cruz, Danyle Dupray and Amy Massingale, but it wasn't enough as Linfield took set one 25-16.
In set two, Linfield jumped out to a quick 8-1 lead and never looked back. With Cruz serving, the Bruins were able to cut the deficit to three, 12-9. From there, however, Linfield finished the set on a 13-8 run to take the set 25-17.
Again, in set three, the Wildcats distanced themselves early. The Bruins only managed five kills to Linfield's 12, and couldn't overcome the 'Cats attack. Dupray led the Bruins with two kills in the set, but Linfield was able to put George fox away and win the set 25-16.
Top Performers:
Delaney Cruz tallied eight kills and 12 digs for the Bruins. Kelsea Meyers and Danyle Dupray were also solid defensively as Meyers totaled 12 digs while Dupray added 10 digs of her own.
What Comes Next:
The Bruins have completed their 2016 season.
