FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- The George Fox men's tennis team fought valiantly on Saturday afternoon, but fell 6-3 to the Boxers of Pacific.
Recap:
Spencer Watanabe and Chris Lilley were in true form at No. 1 singles, taking down Brennan Faith and Clark Wininger, 8-4. The Boxers rallied, though, and took No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to head into singles with a 2-1 lead.
Watanabe continued his efforts into singles play at the No. 1 spot with a huge three set victory over Brennan Faith. Watanabe won, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5). Nicholas Grafton showed some true grit at the No. 3 spot with a straight set 6-4, 6-2 win.
The Boxers ended up taking No. 2, 3, 5 and 6 to leave the match with a 6-3 final.
What It Means:
The loss moves the Bruins to 7-10 on the season and 5-6 in the Northwest Conference.

The Bruins will finish the regular season tomorrow on Sunday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. against Linfield.
