Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. --- The George Fox women's volleyball team ran into a tough Warner Pacific squad Thursday night, as the Bruins fell in three-straight sets.
Recap:
The Bruins got off to a sluggish start as the home team jumped out to a 5-0 lead. That lead expanded for the Knights midway through the set to 17-7 after a service ace. The Knights went on to take the first set, 25-10.
The Knights continued the momentum into the second set, and scored seven-straight points to take a 13-3 lead. The Bruins wouldn't go down without a fight, though, as they went on a small run to bring the set within six, 20-14. The Knights answered with four-straight points and went on to take the set, 25-15.
The third and final set started off in favor for the Bruins, taking an 11-10 lead after Danyle Dupray recorded a service ace. The final set showed the resilience of the Bruins, as they battled with the Knights and forced four ties. The Knights were able to string together a couple of small runs, which led to the sweep with a 25-19 third set victory.
Top Performers:
Dupray led the Bruins on the night with seven kills, hitting .222. She also recorded one service ace and nine digs. Erin Sprowls was next on the list for the Bruins with four kills, hitting .273. Erin Dellinger led the team in blocks with two. Hannah Kumasaka was the team-leader in assists with 12.

The Bruins will come back home on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1p.m. against Simpson.
