FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- The George Fox University women's basketball team earned a solid road win on Saturday, beating the Boxers of Pacific University, 74-67.

Recap:
The game was tightly contested in the first five minutes of the opening quarter as the Bruins jumped out to a narrow 10-7 lead early.

The offense kept clicking from there and the girls in blue were able to get their shots from all around the court, earning a 23-17 lead at the end of the first.

The second quarter proved to be much the same story as the Bruins outscored the opposition 18-17 while holding the Boxers to a mere 37% from the field. The effort was enough to secure a 41-34 lead going into the half.

The Bruins' offense came into the third quarter flat, shooting only 38% from the field. Even with the comparatively poor shooting, the team fought tough and managed to hold on to their lead entering the fourth.

The talented Bruins showed tremendous poise down the stretch, outscoring the Boxers 19-15 while holding them to a mere 33% shooting in the fourth and final quarter. Kimberly Frost had a perfect quarter from the field to score six points and give the Bruins the win they needed.

Top Performers:
Kimberly Frost exploded in this one to earn a career-high 20 points to go along with two steals, five assists and five rebounds. Kaitlin Jamieson got it done on both ends tonight, tallying 12 points and six blocks on top of eight rebounds.

What It Means:
The Bruins get back on track with a win on Saturday, breaking a two-game losing streak.

What Comes Next:
The team travels to Lewis & Clark on Tuesday for a conference matchup set for 6:00pm.
