Bruins Drop Game To Lutes

TACOMA, Wash. --- The George Fox women's soccer team traveled up north Saturday afternoon to take on the second best team in the Northwest Conference, falling to the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran, 5-0.

Recap:

The high powered Lutes found the back of the net in the ninth minute after a cross to the middle caught Bruins' keeper Kelsey Kammerzell off guard.

George Fox was able to fire off three shots in the first half with two on net, but Lutes' keeper Natalie Robinson kept the Bruins off the board.

The Lutes managed to tally three more goals before half to take a 4-0 lead at the break.

PLU finished the game with its final goal in the 65th minute. The Lutes currently have the top two goal scorers in the conference with Leah Magee and Machaela Graddy.

Top Performers:

Kayla Caldeira and Abby Anderson led the Bruins with one shot a piece on frame.

What It Means:

The Bruins are now 4-4-2 on the season and 2-3-2 in the NWC.

What Comes Next:

The Bruins will look to bounce back Sunday, Oct. 8, against Willamette in Salem, Oregon.
