Bruins Battle No. 32 Pioneers

PORTLAND, Ore. --- The George Fox men's tennis team went to battle with No. 32 Lewis & Clark College, as the Pioneers kept their undefeated season alive with an 8-1 victory.

Recap:
The Pioneers had to earn this one Sunday, as the Bruins weren't going to go down without a fight. All three doubles were within three games of each other, with the closest and longest match coming at the No. 3 spot. Freshman Jacob Farmer and Matt Biggi battled hard for the Bruins, dropping a very close 9-7 match.

The bright spot on the day came from junior Spencer Watanabe, who took Pioneers' No. 1 Attia Raed to three sets at No. 1 singles. Watanabe gave the Bruins their only point with a 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 victory. Biggi was a tough contender for the Bruins at No. 2 singles with a three set match that gave him the first game 6-2. Pioneer Michael Brewer bounced back in the second and third game, narrowly taking the second game by a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-4).

What Comes Next:
