Bruins Take Down Lutes

BEAVERTON, Ore. --- The George Fox men's tennis team put on quite the show Saturday, as the Bruins beat the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran, 9-0.

Recap:
The Bruins opened the match up with a quick win at No. 1 doubles, as Spencer Watanabe and Alex Namba beat Lutes' No. 1 Ryan Adams and James Okubo, 8-2. The closest match came at No. 2 doubles, as Ryan Malinowski and Davin Lee pulled away for an 8-5 victory. The only clean sheet came at No. 3 doubles with Jacob Farmer and Matt Biggi with an 8-0 win.

With three quick points, the Bruins headed into singles with momentum and confidence on their side. Every match was won in straight sets, as Watanabe (No. 1) and Biggi (No. 2) didn't give up a single point to their opponents. Farmer closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.

What It Means:
The Bruins are now 5-3 overall and 5-1 in the Northwest Conference.

The Bruins have no time to spare between their next match as they hope on a plan Saturday night to play William Jewell at 12p.m. in Riverside, California, Sunday, March 12.
