Box Score FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- The No. 22-ranked George Fox women's basketball team led the entire way Friday night, as the Bruins cruised to an 86-60 victory over the Boxers of Pacific University.
Recap:
The Bruins were in the driver seat early in this one, jumping out to a 10-0 lead after the first four minutes of play. In fact, the Boxers didn't score their first basket until the 6:09 mark in the first quarter. The Bruins did well to keep the gas down, finishing the first quarter with a 20-8 lead.
Kylin Collman and Kaitlin Jamieson kept the Bruins on pace with back-to-back layups to increase the lead to 24-11. The Boxers managed to string together nine straight points towards the tail end of the second quarter, but the Bruins went into the break with a 44-28 advantage.
The third quarter started out like the first, as the Bruins managed to keep the Boxers under double digits for the second time in the game. George Fox enjoyed a nice separation in the third quarter putting on a show of 27-9 in the 10 minutes to take a 71-37 lead going into the fourth.
Cruise control was applied in the fourth quarter, as the Bruins went on to beat the Boxers, 86-60.
Top Performers:
Tavin Headings was the top performer for the Bruins, recording a career-high 22 points and seven rebounds. Hailey Hartney was the next Bruin in double figures with 10 points.
What It Means:
The Bruins improve to 13-3 on the season and 6-1 in the Northwest Conference.

The Bruins will keep the road trip going, taking on Lewis & Clark Saturday, Jan. 19, with tip at 5pm.
