SANTA CRUZ --- The No. 34 George Fox men's tennis team ran into an experienced California-Santa Cruz team Tuesday night, as the Bruins fell, 9-0.
Recap:
The Bruins batted tough the entire match but weren't able to close out a point. Spencer Watanabe and Will Leach fell in a back and forth match at No. 1 doubles, 8-7 (7-4).
The Banana Slugs captured all three points and kept their momentum going all through singles.
"We learned a tough lesson today," said head coach Neal Ninteman. "Hats off to Santa Cruz. They are very talented and an experienced team. We battled them tough but they were just too strong for us today."
What It Means:
The Bruins drop to 9-4 on the season and go 2-2 in California.

The Bruins jump back into Northwest Conference play April 7 against Willamette.
