Box Score WALLA WALLA --- The George Fox women's volleyball program earned its second win in as many nights after dropping Whitman in four sets on the road on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The Bruins started from behind with an 8-2 deficit to overcome, but after clawing their way back in the middle of the set with a 26-24 win in the opening set. The Bruins' comeback effort set the tone early in the night for George Fox.
Whitman leveled the match with a 25-22 win in set two. The Bruins rebounded from their with an early 11-4 lead in set three and cruised to a 2-1 lead in the match behind five kills from Bailey LeBreton in the set.
With the Bruins ahead in the match, the Blues battled early in the fourth frame and kept it close. The Bruins were able to pull away in the middle of the set, however, and rolled to a 25-14 win in set four behind swings from Ashtyn Butler and Paige O'Rear.
Top Performers
The Bruins got double-digit kills from LeBreton and Butler as the Bruins' middles combined for 25 of the Bruins' 49 kills on the night. Search dished out 35 assists and served up three aces, while Sophia Lawrence notched 17 digs in the match.
What It Means
The Bruins improve to 6-11 overall and are now 3-5 against NWC teams in 2019.
What Happens Next
The Bruins return to Newberg to prepare for the second half of the NWC season with a road match at Pacific (Ore.) and a home match against Linfield next weekend.
