TACOMA, Wash. --- The George Fox women's basketball team outlasted a tough Pacific Lutheran squad, 64-50, on the road on Saturday night in a Northwest Conference matchup.
Recap
Both squads came out fast, and the Lutes led 20-15 after the first quarter. The game started to slow down in the second as the Bruins defense began to establish itself, and George Fox claimed the lead. Emily Holder led the Bruins with ten points going into the half as the Blue & Gold held a slim 34-33 lead heading into the locker room.
The second half was all Bruin ball as George Fox continued to impose their will against an upset-minded Lutes squad. The Bruins were up 50-41 going into the fourth behind a strong defensive effort in the third.
The Lutes tried to pull off a comeback in the final frame, but the Bruins were able to hold on for the 64-50 win.
