NEWBERG, Ore. --- George Fox men's tennis played its Northwest Conference opener on Saturday, Mar. 13, and produced a dominant 9-0 win against the Lutes in a clean sweep.

How It Happened

The Bruins swept doubles play to open the match after an 8-1 win at the first flight from Will Leach Luke Lemaitre, an 8-1 win from Alle Banna and Hunter Fujimori, and an 8-0 win by Camden Camacho in the third flight to wrap up doubles.

Singles play was also smooth sailing for the Bruins as every singles matchup was decided 6-0, 6-0 in a nearly-perfect outing for the men's program.

Their Thoughts

"Our guys played with good focus and it was great to get the win today," said head coach Jeff Cero after the match.

What It Means

The Bruins improve to 1-3 on the year and are 1-0 in NWC play to start the season.
