Box Score McMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The George Fox women's basketball team earned its second win of the season after capping a back-to-back weekend against the Wildcats with a 68-52 victory over Linfield. That victory is also the 25th career win for head coach Michael Coppolino at George Fox.
How It Happened
As they did at home on Mar. 19, the Bruins doubled up on the Wildcats in the first quarter and took an 18-9 lead into the quarter break. The Bruins truly broke the game open in the second quarter, however, outsourcing their hosts 24-4 to take a 42-13 lead at the half. The Bruins shot 77% in the first 20 minutes of action from the field and out-rebounded the 'Cats 23-10 to build the 29-point lead.
In the second half of action, the Bruins coasted to the finish and were outscored in the third and fourth quarters, but their lead was too great for the Wildcats to overcome even as the Bruins' shooting percentage regressed to the mean.
Top Performers
Cassidy Posey led the Bruins with 12 points and Kate Huguenin tied Erin Yoshitake with 10 apiece as the three Fox players in double-figures. Jenna Lacey and Yoshitake also tied for the team lead with five boards apiece.

The Bruins improve to 2-1 overall and in conference play while the Wildcats start their season at 0-2 in both categories.
