Box Score NEWBERG, Ore. --- The George Fox men's tennis team earned their third conference win of 2021 after taking down Pacific (Ore.) at home, 5-4.
How It Happened
Vahag Pashayan and Camden Camacho picked up the Bruins' only doubles win at the third flight, but the Bruins were able to take four of the six singles flights to claim the match.
Will Leach won his first flight 6-0, 6-2, and Luke Lemaitre picked up a 6-4, 7-5 (7) win at the second flight for a 3-2 lead in the match.
Pashayan battled hard in a 4-6, 6-1, 1-6 defeat at the no. 3 spot and Alle Banna earned a win at the no. 4 singles with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 decision. Camacho clinched the win with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the sixth singles flight.
Their Thoughts
"All the credit to Pacific for coming out and playing a great match," said head coach Jeff Cero after the match. "Not to sound cliche, but it was tight from beginning to end and could have gone either way. I'm really proud of the guys that stepped up and got it done and we are looking forward to playing them again tomorrow."

The Bruins have leveled their season record at 3-3 overall and are perfect in Northwest Conference matchups at 3-0.
