Box Score SALEM, Ore. --- The George Fox women's soccer team picked up a win on the road over the Bearcats with a hard-fought 1-0 final.
How It Happened
The Bearcats got the first shot off with an attempt in the fourth minute of action, but Annalisa Klein turned it away and set up a counter opportunity for the Bruins. After battling for possession, the Bruins were able to gain control and pushed into their attacking third of the field where Claire Wright did the work herself for a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute.
The Bruins took three more shots in the half but none found their mark, while both of the Bearcats' shots were turned away or wide of the mark.
In the second half, the Bruins kept up the pace and continued to attack with four shots and a pair of set pieces off of corner kicks, but were turned away each time. The Bearcats were able to generate three shots and two set pieces, but none of their offense ended up with a ball in the back of the net.

Wright scored her second game-winner of the season and Klein kept a clean sheet with two saves for the shutout win.

The Bruins improve to 3-2 overall and in NWC competition while the Bearcats drop to 1-4 in both standings.
