Box Score FOREST GROVE, Ore. --- The women's soccer team took on the Boxers on Wednesday, Mar. 31, to kick off a home-and-away series and got a 1-0 at Pacific (Ore.).
How It Happened
The first half was played primarily in the midfield and the Bruins' attacking third. George Fox generated five shots while keeping the Boxers from even attempting a shot in the first half. The Boxers did manage a pair of set pieces in the opening half, but nothing came of either opportunity.
In the second half, the Bruins continued to press the attack and finally found the back of the net to clinch the win in the 83rd minute. A shot from Hannah Moya went wide of the mark and on the ensuing possession, Maggie Choate buried a shot in the back of the net for a 1-0 lead that held through the final horn.

Annalisa Klein moved into eighth all-time in saves at George Fox with one stop against the Boxers for a career total of 117 and counting in a shutout win. Choate's game-winner came on her third shot of the day for her first season goal.
