NEWBERG, Ore. --- George Fox men's basketball suffered their second loss to the Linfield Wildcats this week, losing the game 82-69.
How it Happened
The first half started off tight and was a low-scoring matchup, and while the Bruins put up a good defense and held the game within 10 points, the Wildcats kept their early lead. Approaching the half, the Wildcats widened their gap to 13 points, and the game went to halftime 44-31 in Linfield's favor.
The second half proceeded in much the same way as the first, with the Bruins trailing by several points. George Fox used a nine-point run with a series of steals and scores to cut within three points of the Wildcats, but Linfield once again pulled ahead and won the game 82-69.
Top Performers
Ryan Lacey made five field goals for a team-high 12 points, and JD Ahlstrom shot 3-3 on free throws to finish with eight points. Kalu Stricklin scored eight and grabbed five rebounds, and Zac Schmerber added 10 off the bench.
What it Means
The Bruins move to 2-5 in the conference, and 2-10 overall, while Linfield goes to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in NWC action.

The Bruins take on Pacific (Ore.) next in a home game on Friday, April 16.
