SPOKANE, Wash. ---  The Bruins earned their third Northwest Conference sweeping win of 2021 after taking down Whitworth, 9-0, on the road in a dominant effort.

Will Leach and Luke Lemaitre won their no. 1 doubles 8-1, Hunter Fujimori and Alle Banna claimed no. 2 doubles 8-7 (7-4), and Camden Camacho paired with Vahag Pashayan at no. 3 doubles to win 8-2.

In singles, Leach won no. 1 with a 6-2, 6-2 effort, Lematire went 6-1, 6-1 at no. 2, and Pashayan claimed no. 3 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 effort.

Banna won no. 4 singles 6-0, 6-3, Camacho took the fifth singles flight 6-1, 6-3, and Hunter Fujimori finished the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the sixth flight.

"We had a good energy through singles today," coach Jeff Cero said after the match. "I was proud of the way the guys supported each other on the court."

The Bruins improve to 4-4 overall and are 4-0 in NWC play. Their next match is at Willamette on Apr. 10.
