The Bruins took the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer to task in their first match of the day. The 3-1 victory went to the tune of 25-21, 25-19, 17-25, 29-27.

George Fox dropped its second match of the day against Augustana in five sets. It was a back and forth affair, but the Bruins couldn't pull off their fifth victory in five games, falling 3-2.

Top Performers

Sophomore Kassandra Staton led the charge offensively for the Bruins in their victory over Pomona-Pitzer, providing 14 kills for the Bruins. Freshman Caitlin Nemecek and junior Bailey LeBreton were close behind, finishing with 12 and 11 kills, respectively.

Coach's Thoughts

Our win against Pomona was a great display of discipline; there was not much room for error and our team played so clean. It was unfortunate to lose in 5 to Augustana, but they played well, and we gave it everything we had left!

What It Means

The Bruins delivered a solid performance in the first four games of a 10-game road trip, going 3-for4 in Pacific Coast Classic action this weekend.
