Spokane, Wash. -- The Bruins struggled to get past the Whitworth back line and took their second loss of the season.
How It Happened
Whitworth took an early lead in the first half, scoring in the 15th minute. Fox struggled to get past the back line of Whitworth, collecting only three shots in the half. The Bruin D held tough for the rest of the half, with several vital clearances and two saves by keeper
Madeline Bailey.
The Bruins came into the second half shooting, scoring in the 49th min of after
Hannah Beardemphl put a cross from
Becca Kozak into the back of the net. Whitworth responded in the 63rd minute, putting them up 2-1, a lead they would not relinquish.
George Fox outshot Whitworth 10-8 in the game, with two shots on goal. The Bruins also had more saves, winning that battle three to one.Â
