COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- George Fox played their first official game, playing the Colorado College Tigers. The Bruins fell 65-62 on a miraculous buzzer-beating three.

How It Happened
The two teams played a very similar brand of defense throughout the game, and it was especially visible in the first half. Both sides struggled to score efficiently against the full-court press of the other side. The teams went into the half tied 28-28, with the Bruins getting huge help from the bench by way of Kade Sorenson.

Both teams shot the ball under 40 percent in the half, with the Bruins shooting 25% from the field and the Tigers at 39%. The Bruins had a crucial end-of-half buzzer-beater from Sean Quanico to tie up the game heading to the locker room. 

The Bruins picked up the pace in the second half to great success. The Bruins jumped out to a 42-30 lead, as they started to get their three-point shots to fall. The Tigers weren't going anywhere, though, and soon brought the game back. The second half was fast-paced, with big shots falling everywhere.

The Bruins' biggest shot of the night came with 30 seconds left, down by three. The Bruins got to the paint, then after a series of beautiful passes found Sorenson for the open three, which he drilled, tying the game at 62. The Bruins had an opportunity to win the game, but could only get a tough look at the rim. The Tigers got the ball with just seconds on the clock and hit a one-legged three to win the game from nearly half court and send the Bruins home with a loss.

Top Performances
Kade Sorenson was the hero of the night off the bench, with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Momo Stokes had 11 points, and Davon Walker stuffed the stat sheet with 8 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
