SALEM, Ore. --- The Bruins' unbeaten lacrosse season continues after Fox picked up a 20–7 victory over Willamette on the Bearcats' field.
How It Happened
The Bruins scored early and often, setting the tone from the jump with nine first-quarter scores, and officially started the running clock with two more quick strikes early in the second quarter. Carleigh DeLapp and Andrea Garcia-Milla each had three goals apiece by the end of the first quarter alone, and Lyla Roy joined the hat trick party with three scores by the end of the half.
After outscoring their hosts 14-2 in the first 30 minutes, Fox picked back up where they had left off and cruised to the win in the second half. Willamette kept pace in the second half as Fox outscored the Bearcats 6-5 in the closing periods, but the rally was well shy of the mark.
