SPOKANE, Wash. --- George Fox lacrosse keeps its undefeated streak alive with another Northwest Conference win at Whitworth, picking up another series sweep in the process with a 21-3 final.
How It Happened
The Bruins scored eight straight to start the game and Carleigh DeLapp notched a hat trick with three goals in the opening ten minutes of game action. DeLapp scored what would count as the game-winner less than five minutes into the game and Fox cruised from there to the finish.Â
By halftime, Fox led, 13-2, and added three more in the third quarter to keep the running clock on with a 16-3 lead. The Bruins did not allow Whitworth to score in the last quarter and ran away with the 21-3 win after running the clock for the final 40 minutes of regulation.
Defensively, the Bruins' keepers made nine saves and its defense forced 15 turnovers to help their team's cause.
