Fox hung close to the Eagles in spite of its attack rate with four aces from the service line in the opening salvo.
The Fox attackers were more efficient in the second set as a group, but Augsburg also improved and put together the best team rate of the match in a 25-18 win.
The Bruins played their most efficient set and led multiple times in the third set, but Augsburg rallied late to retake the lead and finish the match in three sets with a 25-23 final.
