NEWBERG, Ore. -- The George Fox men's tennis team returned to the court after their trip to California for the Stag-Hen Invitational, rebounding with a 9-0 against East Texas Baptist.
How It Happened
The afternoon started out well with wins in all three of their doubles matches —
Camden Camacho and
Vahag Pashayan were able to win their match, 8-3, while
Austin Stone and
Eli Mizerski won, 8-5. The #3 doubles team of
Lars Schmassmann and
Hunter Fujimori won easily, 8-1.
All of the singles matches were completed in straight sets.
Eli Mizerski continued his winning ways with another win in the #1 singles spot by a score of, 6-2, 6-4, while
Austin Stone won his matchup, 6-2, 6-3. On court four,
Hunter Fujimori only gave up one game in his match, winning 6-1, 6-0. To wrap up the day Fox got two more wins, one out of
Jackson Whittaker, 6-3, 6-2, and a second from
Alle Banna, 6-4, 6-2.

The Bruins defended their home court to improve to a record 5-5 overall, while the Tigers fall to 6-6 on the season.
What Comes Next
The Bruins head back out on the road to travel to Boise, Idaho to play some Division I competition in Boise State and Montana. The first match is set for Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
