Bruins Rebound to Beat East Texas Baptist, 8-1

NEWBERG, Ore -- The George Fox women's tennis rebounded after a morning loss to Whitman with an 8-1 win over East Texas Baptist on Sunday.

How It Happened - Whitman
While the day began with matches against an in-conference foe of Whitman, the matches didn't count towards their overall NWC record. Starting out in the doubles matches, Cassey Hitch and Kalli Wiker lost, 8-1. In the #3 doubles, Arianna Rader and Brenna VanderYacht kept it close, but also fell, 8-5.

Similar to the doubles matches, the Bruins battled, but were unable to get the win in any of their singles matches. Kalli Wiker kept the first set close, pushing the first game into an extra set before losing, 7-5, 6-2. Brenna VanderYacht was also able to grab some games off of her opponent before losing, 6-2, 5-4.
