NEWBERG, Ore. — The George Fox Softball team scored a combined 22 runs against Pacific on their way to two wins in midweek action, run-ruling the Boxers, 9-1 and 13-0.
Game One
The Bruins jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first following a
Sydney Sandifer single and a sacrifice fly from
Emma Classen, adding another run in the third on a
Kamryn Potter RBI double. The Bruins gave up their only run of the day in the fourth inning off of a home run as they finished the first half of the game ahead, 3-1.
The Bruins' offense exploded in the fifth and sixth innings of the game, scoring six runs across the two innings. It started with a Sandifer solo home run in the fifth, and Fox picked up another run on Potter's second RBI of the day in the sixth — this one a single. Fox poured on three more runs with a
Sharon Tomei three-run blast to make the game 8-1. An
Aliya Harmon RBI single added the final run of the game, and Fox went into the top of the seventh 9-1.

Ashley Davis went the full game, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out five.
Game Two
After a shortened game one, The Bruins jumped right back into things with a fast start in the first inning of game two. Tomei started the game off scoring-wise with a two-run home run, followed by Sandifer hitting a double. With Sandifer on second, DP
Reagan Medina hit a two-run home run to give Fox a 4-0 lead before Pacific could manage an out.
In the third inning, GFU scored a whopping nine runs in the frame – matching their total for the first game. The inning featured a
Kimberly Pulido RBI single, another Potter RBI double, a second Tomei homerun, and a homer from
Kami Gibson that came on the first pitch that the freshman had seen all day
Jenna Kister picked up the win on the mound, throwing four innings and giving up zero runs and just three hits.
Top Performances
Kamryn Potter went 5-7 on the day, picking up four RBIs — two coming from each game.
Sharon Tomei had three RBIs and two home runs in the second game, and
Sydney Sandifer had five hits across the two games.
What It Means
Fox now sits ten games over .500 with a 22-12 (15-7 NWC) record and remains undefeated at home for the season. With Whitworth's losses to Linfield, the Bruins sit in solo second place in the conference heading into the last stretch of the regular season.

The Bruins have a quick turnaround, playing again this Thursday in a rescheduled doubleheader against Lewis & Clark before playing a four-game series this weekend against Whitworth. The first pitch on Thursday is at 2 pm in Portland, Ore.
