SPOKANE, Wash. -- After a quick turnaround, The George Fox men's tennis team returned to the court, sweeping all matches against the Whitworth Pirates in their 9-0 win.
How It Happened
On court one
Eli Mizerski and
Austin Stone would team up for the second straight day to play against the Pirates number one doubles team. Mizerski and Stone were able to win, 8-2.
Alle Banna and
Jackson Whittaker won on court two by a score of, 8-5.
Hunter Fujimori and
Lars Schmassmann completed the sweep for doubles when they won, 8-2.
The Bruins looked to continue with their success from doubles as they headed into singles. In the number one matchup,
Eli Mizerski won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. On court two
Austin Stone won, 6-4, 6-1. Lars Schamssmann would be able to win in his match, 6-2, 6-4.
In the final three matches, Fox would be able to win while only giving two games to the Pirates.
Camden Camacho won, 6-0, 6-1,
Hunter Fujimori won, 6-1, 6-0, and in the last match,
Alle Banna would sweep in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. The singles outcomes would secure the win for the Bruins, ending with a sweep of the Pirates, 9-0.
