WALLA WALLA, Wash. – At the ITA Regional Championships, George Fox's men's tennis team displayed remarkable performances across doubles and singles events.
How It Happened
In the singles semi-finals,
Hunter Fujimori continued to impress on the court, defeating
Vahag Pashayan with scores of 6-4, 6-1. Meanwhile,
Eli Mizerski demonstrated his skill and determination, securing victory with a score of 6-2, 6-3 against Whitman's Cameron Yang.
With these victories in both singles semi-finals, the Bruins men's tennis team exhibited exceptional talent and competitive drive. The stage was set for a thrilling singles final between Mizerski and Fujimori, pitting two accomplished teammates against each other.
In the singles final, it was Mizerski who emerged victorious, underscoring his prowess with a strong performance against Fujimori.
Moving into the doubles semi-finals, the team of Fujimori and
Zach Moore showcased their prowess with an 8-4 victory over Whitman's Artem Manov and Charles Rush, while Mizerski and
Nanase Ebisu engaged in a fiercely contested match, ultimately prevailing with an 8-7 (2) win against Whitman's Harshvardhan Chopra and Lucas Huang.
Next up was the doubles final, marking the second occasion on Sunday when both spots in the final match belonged to the Bruins. Fujimori and Moore were set to face off against Mizerski and Ebisu, promising an exciting match between these Fox teammates. In the end it was Fujimori and Moore that would emerge victorious.
Overall, the George Fox men's tennis team's journey at the ITA Regional Championships was marked by standout performances, particularly by Fujimori, Moore, Ebisu, and Mizerski. Their achievements in both doubles and singles events making the tournament a memorable and successful outing for the team.

The Bruins will play again in two weeks' time when they host UC Santa Cruz at the Multi-Use Facility on October 6th at 6:00 p.m.
