McMINVILLE, Ore. -- The George Fox women's soccer team battled tough competition against Linfield on Friday, tying the game 0-0.
How It Happened
Fox had a strong start—only five minutes into the first half of the game was an attempted shot by
Liv Haima, but an adjusted defense by the Wildcats moved the shot off target. Just five minutes later,
Lindsey Kong attempted another shot in the low center. After a foul by Linfield,
Willa Evans made an attempted shot, sending the Wildcats into a panic. Then, from a corner kick in the 25th minute,
Alexis Breer shot the ball in out left, almost locking in a point for the Bruins. In the last twenty minutes of the game, Haima gave her last shot, but unfortunately, the half was wrapped up—0-0.
In the second period of the game, neither teams were very productive as the Wildcats gave their all, and the Bruins couldn't seem to find the back of the net.
