FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- The George Fox men's soccer team added another win to their record for the season with a gripping 1-0 win over Pacific on Sunday.
How It Happened
In the first half of the game, the Bruins outshot Pacific 6-1. Though George Fox had a persistent attack, including a shot cascading off the left post, they were unable to score in the first half of the game. Once the second half hit the Bruins continued their pursuit of a goal adding four more shots onto their already six shots — with one ending in a goal.

Eugene Peltier scored the only goal for the Bruins in the 77th minute of the game with his goal being assisted by
Connor Kong. Just a minute before the goal Peliter had a foul called on him, igniting the fire to score. He put the ball away and gave his team a win.

Justin Huttinger had a shutout and one save. The George Fox defense held their own with a shutout against Pacific, including holding the Boxers to only one shot on goal.

"Pacific is an incredible defensive team with a very clear identity in every facet of their game," said Bruins head coach
Paul Karver. "Today took some creativity for us to find a result and answer the defensive questions they were asking of us."

The George Fox men's soccer team now has an overall record of 12-3-1 and an NWC record of 8-3-1. Pacific now has an overall record of 8-7-1 and an NWC record of 6-5-1.
What Comes Next
The George Fox men's soccer team will be traveling up to Tacoma, Washington on November 2nd to play Puget Sound. The game is scheduled for 12 pm.
