HILLSBORO, Ore. -- The 2024 All-Northwest Conference women's soccer rosters and major awards have been announced by the conference office, with three Bruins named to the teams.
Willa Evans leads the way for the Bruins, picking up second-team All-NWC honors during the 2024 season.Â
This is the third time Evans has been given the nod to the All-Conference list, previously picking up All-NWC honorable mention honors in 2021 and 2022. Evans completed her final year at Fox with two goals and one assist, coming off the back line to support the Bruin attack. She also was part of a defensive unit that shut out eight opponents.Â
Joining Evans on the All-NWC teams were
Becca Kozak and
Emily Robey - two outstanding players who made dynamic impacts on the pitch.Â
Kozak concluded her senior season on the All-NWC honorable mention squad after firing off seven goals and two assists for the Bruins. Those seven goals led the team and included five in conference play. Kozak also led the team in shots (37), shots on goal (21), and game-winners (3).Â
Robey rounds out the conference honors on the All-NWC honorable mention squad. The sophomore goalie racked up seven shutouts and boasted an impressive 106 saves on the season. She also earned an NWC Defensive Player of the Week award and led the conference in saves per game.Â
"I am so proud of this group of players!" said Bruins head coach
Laura Schott. "They deserve the recognition they've earned, and we appreciate all of the effort they put forward this year. Each one is a leader in their own way, and we can't wait to see how they lead in the coming years on and off the field!"Â
While Evans and Kozak will leave behind a legacy etched into the history books, Robey is set to return for the 2025 season as she vies for yet another standout season.Â
