NEWBERG, Ore., – After over a month on the road, the George Fox men's tennis team hosted the Whitworth Pirates at the Multi-Use Facility on Saturday, beating the Pirates 9-0.

The Bruins, maintaining their winning strategy from the previous weekend, keeping their doubles teams the same, looking to come out strong against the Pirates. On court one,
Nanase Ebisu and
Vahag Pashayan took on Whitworth's number one doubles team, winning 8-3.
Eli Mizerski and
Lars Schmassmann continued their success in doubles, getting a convincing win 8-2.
Zach Moore and
Hunter Fujimori won their match by the same score, 8-2.
Eli Mizerski took care of business against his opponent, winning the first set 6-0 and then coming out to win set number two 6-3.
Vahag Pashayan beat Ethan Warring by a score of 6-1, 6-2. On court three,
Hunter Fujimori secured the first set win, 6-0, before winning the second set, 6-2.
Nanase Ebisu shut down his opponent, sweeping the game, 6-0, 6-0. In number five singles,
Alle Banna only gave up one game in each set, winning the match, 6-1, 6-1. In the Bruins final match,
Jackson Whittaker took on Matt Froslan. Whittaker secured the first set 6-3, before battling for the second set win, 7-5.
What's Next
The Bruins improve to 6-9, (4-0 NWC), and the Pirates move to 4-13, (2-5 NWC) on the year. George Fox will return to the court tomorrow when they host the Whitman Blues, matches are set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
