EUGENE, Ore. -- The George Fox women's soccer team stayed hot with a solid 3-0 win over Bushnell, improving their undefeated mark to 3-0 on the year..
How It Happened
Senior
Becca Kozak kicked things for the Bruins, scoring a goal in the first 15 minutes of the game. Kozak capitalized on a splitting pass up the middle, finishing the ball into the left lower corner of the goal.
George Fox's second goal was scored by sophomore
Liv Haima.
Taylor Ho assisted Haima in her goal during the 35th minute of the game, giving Haima a pass through the middle of the field right outside the 18-yard box giving Haima the opportunity to send the ball soaring over the keeper's head, right into the back of the net.
Fox kept up their forward attack into the second half with an additional goal in the 50th minute from
Alexis Breer. The junior's goal was once again assisted by Ho. Breer made a beautiful run up the left hand-side of the field. Finding her all alone, Ho switched the ball through the middle and found Breer's left foot. Alexis sent the ball into the lower left corner, just skimming the goalkeeper's glove. The Bruin defense remained strong throughout the game maintaining a shutout and leading the team to victory.
