WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The George Fox women's soccer team concluded their weekend at the Whits this afternoon with a close 1-0 loss against Whitman.
How It Happened
The Bruins began the first half fighting strong against the Blues — despite being outshot 8-1, Fox held the Blues to a 0-0 tie at the end of the first half of the game. However, in the 78th minute of the game, Whitman snuck a goal in to take the lead. The goal was assisted by Leah Barnes and scored by Bailey Bell.
Overall, GFU held the Blues off for the majority of the game, despite being outshot 15-3 and having no corners in comparison to Whitman's five. Sophomore
Emily Robey played a full 90 minutes and had five saves.
