SALEM, Ore. -- George Fox women's soccer ended their weekend today with a 2-1 loss against the Willamette Bearcats.
How It Happened
The Bruins were caught off guard in the first half by Willamette's Nina Cybulski-Krassner scoring a goal in the first seven minutes of the game. Her goal was assisted by Willamette player Claire Warthen. Willamette ended the half one goal ahead of the Bruins.
Two minutes into the second half of the game Willamette struck again with Ella McComas scoring for the Bearcats. The Bruins persisted throughout the game, drawing a penalty kick in the 90th minute of the game. The penalty ended in a goal from
Willa Evans and a red card for Willamette player, Celeste Stanziola. The Bruins ended the game with a total of 14 shots as opposed to Willamette's 13 shots.

Willa Evans finished up her 90 minutes of the game with a goal.
Taylor Ho had three shots. Sophomore goalkeeper
Emily Robey, had two saves.
Coach's Thoughts
"Tough one today," said Head Coach
Laura Schott. "We should have started better as a team - our fight just wasn't enough in the end. Looking forward to next weekend!"
What It Means
George Fox now has a record of 4-3-1 going into the rest of their season. Willamette now has a record of 2-3-4.

George Fox women's soccer will be back at their home turf Saturday, October 5th at 2:45pm to play against the Pacific Lutheran Lutes.
